Regularly showing interesting sculpture and painting exhibitions by international artists and those who have lived and\/or worked in Nice. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mamac-nice.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.mamac-nice.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>La\u00a0musee national Marc Chagall<\/strong> &#8211; about 35 minutes walk and very interesting. There&#8217;s an English language film about the artist&#8217;s life and interviews with him is well worth a visit.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.musees-nationaux-alpesmaritimes.fr\/chagall\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.musees-nationaux-alpesmaritimes.fr\/chagall\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Le palais Lascaris<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; 100 metres away (left off Rue St Joseph at the crossroads with Rue Doite) you will find the 17th century Baroque villa and musical instruments museum <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palais-lascaris-nice.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.palais-lascaris-nice.org<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur Museum Pass:<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0<em>Carte Mus\u00e9es C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur<\/em>\u00a0allows unlimited, priority entry into museums, historic sites and gardens. This pass can be bought from any branch of FNAC, participating museums or certain Tourist Offices. Note that that 3-day and 7-day passes must be used on\u00a0<em>consecutive<\/em>\u00a0days.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nice\u2019s Museum Pass:<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0<em>Carte Passe-Mus\u00e9es Nice<\/em>\u00a0allows access to all the municipal museums. Information and the card are available from the Nice Tourist Office at 5 Promenade des Anglais.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Museums and galleries within the City of Nice are open 10:00 to 18:00, 6 days a week.\u00a0<strong>NB<\/strong>: Entry is free on the first and third Sunday of the month, all year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Menton\u2019s Museum Pass:<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0<em>Passeport C\u00f4te Mus\u00e9es<\/em>\u00a0is valid for one year and allows access to the museums and gardens around Menton. Enquiries at the Menton Tourist Office, 8 Ave Boyer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Cinema<\/h1>\n<p>There are 7 cinemas in Nice including one on Place Garibaldi where English language films and sub-titled films are shown.\u00a0The TV in the apartment plays DVDs and VCRs.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nicetourisme.com\/cinema\" target=\"_blank\">www.nicetourisme.com\/cinema<\/a><\/p>\n<p>NB There is no terrestrial TV reception in the apartment.<\/p>\n<h1>English-Language Publications<\/h1>\n<p>There are a number of newspapers and magazines available in English. Many of them are free.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rivieratimes.com\/\">The Riviera Times<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>a monthly local newspaper, available at newsstands and at tourist offices<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/riviera.angloinfo.com\/redirect\/url\/www.riviera-reporter.com\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/riviera.angloinfo.com\/redirect\/url\/www.rivierareporter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Riviera Reporter<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0a bi-monthly magazine distributed free at local caf\u00e9s, restaurants, English shops and anglophone meeting place. Available by subscription<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/riviera.angloinfo.com\/redirect\/url\/www.lmsfrance.fr\/news\/magazine-LMS-news\" target=\"_blank\">LMS News<\/a><\/strong>, a quarterly bilingual French\/English magazine for Sophia Antipolis. Free at local office blocks and restaurants<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/riviera.angloinfo.com\/redirect\/url\/www.thatsnicemagazine.com\/Thats_Nice\/Home.html\" target=\"_blank\">That&#8217;s Nice<\/a><\/strong>, a free magazine distributed on the Cote d&#8217;Azur. It contains reviews, news articles, information on concerts and live music, classifieds and maps<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/riviera.angloinfo.com\/redirect\/url\/www.provencesun.com\" target=\"_blank\">Provence Sun<\/a><\/strong>, a regional, bi-monthly magazine. It is available for free in bookshops and at strategic points.
