Museums
Too many to mention but here are 3 of Helen’s favourites:
La musee d’art moderne – free to enter. Regularly showing interesting sculpture and painting exhibitions by international artists and those who have lived and/or worked in Nice. www.mamac-nice.org
La musee national Marc Chagall – about 35 minutes walk and very interesting. There’s an English language film about the artist’s life and interviews with him is well worth a visit. www.musees-nationaux-alpesmaritimes.fr/chagall/
Le palais Lascaris – 100 metres away (left off Rue St Joseph at the crossroads with Rue Doite) you will find the 17th century Baroque villa and musical instruments museum www.palais-lascaris-nice.org
